Points of interest/attractions Burj al Arab This luxury hotel, said to be the world’s only 7 start hotel, stands on a man made island approximately 280 metres from Jumeirah beach. The hotel stand at 321 metres in height and its distinctive design is intended to resemble a boat sail. The structure is breathtaking and really needs to been seen to be fully appreciated. There is a massive 180m tall atrium inside the building Souks Souks are the traditional Arab markets. Bargaining is the order of the day at the souks and it is well worth exploring the gold souk and spice souk which are located in the historic quarter of Bastakia. Jumeira Jumeira is the most exclusive part of town and popular with expatriates and tourists. This is where the luxury hotels can be found including Hilton, Sheraton and many more. The Jumeirah Mosque is located on Al Jumeira Road. The mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques and a fine example of modern Islamic architecture. Ski Dubai As crazy as it may seem you can snow ski in Dubai! Ski Dubai is the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East, where you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing. The centre has adopted a mountain theme and boasts 5 runs varying difficulty and length. There are ski instructors available to tutor you in skiing and snowboarding. It is surreal to think that it’s 50° outside while you are skiing down the slope in the temperature controlled -1° to -2° environment. There are two themed restaurants; St Moritz Café and Avalanche Café and a retail shop, Snow Pro, The Palm Trilogy The Palm Trilogy is made up of three Palms, The Palm Jemeirah, The Palm Deira and The Aplm Jebel Ali. The Palms are man made islands that are shaped like palm trees. Many celebrities are rumored to have bought properties on the Palms. There are over 60 hotels, marinas a water park and shops on the palms. The World The World is a series of man made islands, each island representing a different country/continent.
